Our 21st Annual Osakis 5K Run trails through Osakis with
approximately 100 runners. Come join the fun as a runner
or a spectator. The run begins at 9 a.m. in front of the
main house at Just Like Grandma's. |

Featuring 100-2 person teams ....... going for the top money
prizes! Team fishing hours: Saturday 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.;
Sunday 7 a.m.- 3 p.m. Weigh-ins will take place starting
at 3 p.m. each day at the downtown public access. Public

July" Fireworks |

Thousands come every year to enjoy this spectacular display of
fireworks at the Osakis Country Club golf course. Spend
the whole day in Osakis fishing, golfing, antique and gift
shopping, dining or just plain relaxing. Then top the day

Round the Lake" Car Show |

One of the largest car shows in the state. Featuring a
variety of models of cars and trucks from days gone by.
The public "Show-n-Shine" runs from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. on the
streets of downtown Osakis. City wide garage sales will

Garden Stops Tour |

3rd annual tour of gardens in the Lake Osakis area.
Purchase or pick up tickets and map at Just Like Grandma's; 113
W. Main St.; Osakis, MN. $15.00 per ticket. Includes a "flower pot" lunch.
Check in and lunch: 11 am - 2 pm. Gardens close at 4 p.m.
Master gardeners available at the gardens. This event is
sponsored by the Osakis Chamber of Commerce as a fundraiser for
the "Quilts Along the Trail" event. For more information,

| Central Trails

Osakis, Minnesota
This is a two (2) tour bike ride with the first ride comprised
of 22 miles along the beautiful Central Lakes Trail starting at the Osakis
trailhead public parking lot to the Alexandria trailhead and
back to Osakis. This will be a great ride for those who
prefer a shorter distance yet long enough to be challenging. It will be a wonderful family ride on
a 14' wide recreational trail. The second ride will
run 44 miles along both the Central Lakes Trail and Lake Wobegon
Trail that will allow cyclists to capture the surrounding beauty and nature of the
prairies and Lake Osakis starting from Osakis to Melrose and
back to Osakis. Proceeds will be going to the
Central Lakes Trail for maintenance and beautification.
Start time is 8 a.m. Fee: $15.00 individual; $35.00
family; $10.00 T-shirt fee (if registered by 7/18/08). For more information, call 866-784-8941

"Quilts Along the Trail" - 5th Annual |
September 6, 2008 -
Osakis, Minnesota
Quilts of all styles and sizes will be displayed for public
viewing along a two block area of the Central Lakes Trail in
downtown Osakis. This exhibit showcases the talents and
skills of central Minnesota quilters in many varieties and time
periods - from antique and vintage to traditional and
contemporary. This event also includes vendor booths
featuring arts and crafts, food and beverages, and quilts and
quilted items for sale. Exhibitors can sign up to show off
their favorite quilts. There is no entry fee and no
judging, just the enjoyment of sharing the art and beauty of the
quilts. Free admission to the public to view the quilts.
