Since West Central Initiative's founding in 1986, they've been a strategic partner to small business owners seeking to launch or expand, to local leaders wanting to raise or find funds to fill needs in their communities, and to aspiring changemakers who need support to help bring an idea to life. WCI plays the role of both a community nonprofit foundation and an economic development organization for the region. Our strategic priorities of people, planet, and prosperity recognize the interconnection between all three to ensure an equitable, sustainable, and vibrant future for all who call west central Minnesota home.
